2015 Keystone Impact Fusion 303
With the need for flexible solar panel placement, we added a solar panel input on the exterior of the trailer. This, paired with a 20 foot solar extension cable, allows for a portable solar panel to be placed in the sunlight, even if the trailer is parked under some trees. The lead acid battery was swapped for a lithium iron phosphate battery and moved to under the bed. An inverter was added along with some additional outlets in the bedroom. This allows the owners power a CPAP through the night, as well as other small appliances when needed. USB ports were also added on both sides of the bed.
This upgrade is great for charging batteries during trips, and being able to power smaller equipment without the need to run the onboard generator. It was also designed to allow easy battery, inverter, and solar panel upgrades in the future as needed.
